Here is an excerpt from The Wrong Cowboy to Love.
She settled on her bottom, her legs crossed in front of her. He sat the same way. They held hands as he sang the song that had been written as he sat here strumming his guitar.
When he finished, Ruby stared at him for so long he thought she was trying to think of something nice to say.
“It’s just a—”
“True comparison. The words, the nuances. That should be the first song you send out as a demo.” She raised his hands to her lips and kissed them. “I’ve never heard anything so poetic.”
He lay backwards, pulling her on top of him. “You keep talking like that and I’ll start getting a big head.”
She placed her forearms on his chest and looked down at him with her dimple twinkling. “I just tell things like I see them.”
“I’m beginning to think you’re just hanging around with me because you think I’ll be a big star one day.” He raised his eyebrows as if questioning her.
Ruby laughed. “Not think. I know.”
“You going to be my roadie?” He liked the idea of her coming to his gigs with him.
“It depends on what it entails.” She was running a finger lightly back and forth over his bottom lip.
The softness of the touch had his cock growing again.
“You help me set up my equipment, take videos, and caress my ego afterwards.” He nipped her finger.
She pulled it back. “I might be able to do that, if the gigs aren’t too far from Bozeman.”
“There’s one more requirement,” he said, grasping her bottom and sliding her body up his so he could kiss her.
“I need lots of these.” He kissed her, long, wet, and breathless as his hands kneaded her hips and sides. He felt her nipples pebble through his cotton shirt as her weight pressed down on him.
He came up for air, and she mewed like a kitten when his lips left hers. A quick roll and she was under him. His forearms were on either side of her holding his weight off her. He captured her lips once more before dropping kisses down her neck to her t-shirt collar.
Her hands skimmed his neck as she played with his hair.
“I think we could negotiate a deal,” she said breathlessly as he ran kisses back up her neck.
“What kind of a deal,” he asked, lingering with his lips barely a hair’s breadth from hers.
She licked her lips. Her tongue skimmed his mouth and he didn’t wait for an answer.
Dillon captured her mouth again, this time, tasting her fully and dallying with her tongue as he cradled her head in his hands.
Ruby’s senses were sparking, and her mind had gone from coherent to zeroing in on all the pulses, throbs, and yearnings in her body. Dillon’s kiss had her gasping for air but not wanting to break the kiss. His tongue had triggered sensations not only in her head but her breasts and her mound that had become sensitive to his hardness pressing against it.
Even as she rationalized all the sensations and realized the parts of her that were awakening, she knew this wasn’t the place she wanted to make love to Dillon. She wanted it to be where they could stay and revel in the aftermath. Not have to dress, hop on a horse, and ride for two hours.
She released her hold on his neck and with reluctance drew out of the kiss.
Dillon raised his head and peered into her eyes. “Too much, too soon?”
She started to say yes but changed her mind. “No.” She brushed his lips with hers. “I want more, but I don’t want it here, rushed.” Her neck started heating.
