Hi, it’s Donna Michaels and I’m excited to share my new cover to the first book in my new cowboy series with Entangled Publications!
IN A RANGER’S ARMS releases November 28th and is Book 1 in The Men of At Ease Ranch series about former Army Rangers who own a Texas ranch which welcomes veterans to help them transition back to civilian life. The men also own and operate a construction company that employs veterans. This is a romcom series under their Lovestruck Imprint, and I’m very excited to share a little bit of it with you today.
No amount of training could’ve prepared him for her.
Former Army Ranger Stone Mitchum doesn’t have time for sex. Since starting a company with his brother and two buddies, he’s had more important things on his mind. Like transitioning veterans back into society. But when his curvy new tenant falls into his arms—literally—his libido snaps to attention.
Jovy Larson has four weeks to prove she’s worthy of taking over the family business. Her challenge? Sell gluten-free, vegan food—in the middle of cattle country, Texas. It’s a tough task, but not half as tough as fighting her attraction to her sexy, surly landlord.
Before she knows it, Jovy’s tangling sheets with the hot cowboy, stalked by a jealous cow, and strategizing ways to help Stone’s ranch. But by the time her lease runs out and the test is over, she’s faced with a new challenge…competing against Stone’s sense of duty to win his heart.
Short Hot Excerpt :
“Take the reins,” he ordered, his voice tight with need as he placed them in her hand.
She stiffened. “Wait…what do I do?”
“Just hold them evenly and taut like this,” he instructed. “Galahad will continue on a slow, steady pace.”
“I’m not s—oh.” She inhaled when he slid his newly freed hand up her bare thigh.
God, she was soft. And spread open. He was grateful she had her short shorts on again because it gave him easy access to her beautiful body. He stroked a finger over her trembling upper thighs.
“Stone.” She sucked in another breath. “Are you sure it’s safe to do this?”
No. No it wasn’t. She was killing him, making him want things, need things, do things he shouldn’t. But, she had a big day ahead of her. She needed to relax, and he knew exactly how to help.
“Yes. It’s okay,” Stone replied, desire making him reckless, making him forget their no touching pact. She seemed to have forgotten, too. “Just hold onto those reins and stay still. Let me do all the work. Let me take care of you.”
