Crushing on the Cowboy by Sarah M. Anderson + Bonus Giveaway!

Hi everyone! Summer is here! (Okay, maybe not meteorologically–we still have a fewweb-color--2 weeks.) But School is out  and it’s Summer Vacation Day 13. I know that for a fact because we decided to forgo summer day camp this year.

Before I forget, last month’s winner was lacombejc! To get your eARC of Crushing on the Cowboy, lacombejc, email me at!

So, yeah–I have the Kid home with me this summer. I’m trying to keep him busy–there’s trumpet and guitar lessons, the summer library reading program and, at leas for now, plenty of scootering up and down the sidewalk because the weather is lovely. The big highlight (of my summer, at least) is the two full weeks of Boy Scout Camp–yah! The other main thing we’re doing this summer is volunteering at our local Humane Society. Every afternoon, we head over for the last walk of the day. We take puppies on a lap around the play area and through a field. It’s good for him to start thinking about people and creatures outside of himself and his family (dogs included) but…the odds of us coming home with a third dog at some point during the summer are good. Really, really good.

Basically, if the dachshund of my dreams shows up, it’s all over.

Okay! Onto the books!

First off, I want to mention that is back! Jenna Bayley-Burke, Donna Alward and I have teamed up for another anthology of second-chance romances!

First up is Captivating the Cowboy by Jenna! It’s out now!

Captivating the CowboyShe’s the last think he needs…but everything he wants.

Fourth-generation cattle rancher Slade Weston wants a forever love but no matter how often he tips his hat on, he can’t find anything he sees lasting longer than first-date flowers. Fashion designer Jules O’Connor isn’t looking for a relationship because she’s not a daisy-duke cowgirl and that’s all most men are looking for in Opal Creek. Plus, she’s moving across the country as soon as her sister graduates.

When Slade’s string of internet first dates gets comical, Jules offers to be his wing-woman, which leads to some horizontal schmexytimes. She doesn’t want to be a wife and mom, he doesn’t want to move to New York City. It’s just for now. Until they can’t seem to see a future apart…

Then, downloading on June 10 (3 days!) is Donna’s Seducing the Sheriff!

Saddle up for another go-round…Seducing the Sheriff

When Cassidy Strong signs up for, she never expects it’ll put her in the middle of a bank robbery—or that she’ll be the key to breaking the case. Her first foray into online dating after her divorce is an unqualified disaster.

That is, until Sheriff Joe Lawson walks in, ready to solve the case and do whatever it takes to protect her. Even if that means hiding her away in his mountain cabin.

Joe has a job to do, and acting on any attraction would go against everything he stands for. Then there’s Cassidy’s volatile ex to consider. But sometimes doing what’s right isn’t as important as following your heart…

Then, in a mere five weeks (AHHH!), Roping the Rancher comes out!

How far will he go to give her what she wants?

SarahMAnderson_RopingARancher_200pxTommy Tucker doesn’t know what he wants. All he knows is that the girls his own age that he asks out don’t quite do it for him. Until he meets Carly, the manager at a local restaurant.

Carly can’t believe a young buck like Tommy would even look twice at her and she has no interest in being anyone’s cougar. The last time she got involved with a customer, she wound up in a horrible marriage.

Still, when Tommy tells her that he’ll do whatever she tells him to…Carly can’t resist the chance to take what she wants from a man with no strings attached. But no one said anything about scarves…

When Tommy graduates, will Carly let him go—or will she keep him for herself?

Warning: Contains an older woman in charge, a younger man eager to please and a silk scarf tied to a headboard.

So be on the lookout for those exciting books! Now it’s everyone’s favorite time here on Wild and Wicked Cowboys–the exclusive, super-steamy excerpt from the next release, Crushing on the Cowboy! This is my first foray into M/M cowboys, but Mitch and Paulo just demanded that their story be told. So here it is!

Mitch propped himself up on his forearms as he kissed Paulo, his tongue sliding deep. On some level, this was ridiculous. It was the middle of the night, less than five hours since the last time he’d gotten off. But that didn’t stop him.

He needed this man—needed the way Paulo made him feel. Suddenly, after twenty-one years of not having a man to kiss, Mitch couldn’t go another twenty-one hours without touching Paulo.

Paulo let him kiss him for a minute, just lying there and letting Mitch work over him. Then, almost against his will, Mitch shifted and his cock came into contact with Paulo’s. Mitch groaned at the touch, hard and soft and hot—so hot—all together and focused on the point where his cock lay against Paulo’s.

Sim,” Paulo whispered as Mitch tried to keep himself from thrusting against Paulo, tried to keep himself cool calm and collected. “Ó, Mitch,” he moaned, his own hips lifting to slide his cock up and back against Mitch’s.

“Yeah?” Mitch asked, his breath coming in shorter and faster bursts as he moved over Paulo. What they’ve done before—the way Paulo had gotten him off—that hadn’t been that different from how he normally got off.

Okay, that was a lie—it’d been wildly different—wildly better. But it was still the same basic mechanic motion of getting off that Mitch had been doing since he was thirteen.

But this? This was something entirely different. Mitch was thrusting against Paulo, his cock sliding over the throbbing erection. He wasn’t sure what he was doing, really. He justCrushingotCowboyHiResFinal knew he couldn’t stop.

He leaned up on his hands so he could look down and see where they were touching. “Paulo.” It was more a sound that pulled itself out of his chest than one he chose to speak.

Sim,” Paulo said, and then he was touching Mitch, running his hands through Mitch’s hair and tilting his head up so Paulo could kiss him again. He didn’t stop there and Mitch didn’t want him to. His hands drifted down over Mitch’s chest, where he gently tweaked his nipples. He leaned forward and put his teeth on Mitch’s skin, dragging them down to the point of his nipple. He began to suck.

That was enough to make Mitch lose his rhythm. All he could do was hold himself up and feel Paulo’s lips on his body. He had not expected that to be so overpowering, but it completely short-circuited his brain. The only thing he could think, feel, was Paulo tugging on his nipple. Who would’ve ever guessed something as useless as a man’s nipple could feel so wonderful?

I love those crazy bull riders! Mitch and Paulo are so good together and I’m so happy they get to tell their story (YAH CARINA!!)

  1. Clare O'Beara says:

That’s different to your usual romances! Thanks.

  2. Our summer go to place is a lake house. We rent one for the entire summer, and family and friends just come and go from allover. (

  3. Did my comment go through?

    • Sarah M. Anderson says:

Yep! I had to moderate it, which required me being awake. 🙂 But you’re in the contest!

  4. debby236 says:

Looking forward to reading your new book. I like to visit museums, beaches and walk on trails.

  5. Millie Swank says:

My daughter is now 38 years old so it been a while since I had a child home. We did the Library summer reading program. We also helped out at our local food bank program as you said and I agree it is important for them to learn that not everyone has it as good as they do. Even when they don’t think they do. I thought it was important she see that people getting help at the food bank were our neighbors. Most library’s have passes for the zoo or a museum that you can request which are free. Sign up soon for that as they will go fast. Hope it a great summer!

  6. Shy says:

Reading is my go to boredom preventer. My son likes to be more active so we go to the beach, Legoland, the zoo, lots of walks to the park, and the occasional movie. Also I’m really looking forward to Crushing on the cowboy!

  7. Rachel Tinsley says:

Ohhh. I’m excited about this. I’ve been jonesing for another good book since Nobody 😍

  8. laineslite says:

The best things as summer came as a kid were going to the beach, local community pool and recreation activities, the YMCA had some good things, summer school for fun, going to the library, museums, getting out to the movies, picnics out, BBQ’s, just going to & having friends over, bike rides, roller skating around the neighborhood streets and the roller rink when we could, book stores of course.
As for your books I can’t wait to read them regular & m/m it looks good so you may decide to venture writing more of them. By the way it is funny men know that women love their nipples as an erogenous zone by stimulation but men mostly have no idea what a fun zone it is because they are missing out except for the enlightened ones who straight or not have a good partner showing them that they can be enjoyed too by reciprocation by us women that like sharing in that tasty teasing. That last line cracked me up as a man’s useless nipples aren’t anymore now haha.
Hope I gave a few decent summer ideas for you but I grew up in the 60’s & 70’s when it was safer to be a kid outside more even if alone than these days.

  9. Mary D. says:

I try to keep up with the gardening, do some craft projects, and of course, read. I’m looking forward to reading Crushing on the Cowboy. I really liked One Rodeo Season!

  10. rietepietnl says:

to prevent boredom I will read books, bathe (a bit in the sun, while listening to a book, drive around, visit some cities and on the whole, DH and enjoy life and each other.

  11. Martina Arguijo says:

Luckily we have a city run Water Park in the neighborhood so that is always are go to to get out of the house and have some fun and meet old and new friends. 🙂 Other than tubing the river which being in Texas I don’t think we will get the opportunity to do this year due to the flooding.

  12. Armenia Fox says:

We live in Central Texas and each summer we try to visit neighboring natural springs and pools. Of course, there’s the weekend slumber parties and lots of movies to catch up on. We are looking forward to watching Finding Dory. Have a great summer.

  13. Jackie Wisherd says:

I live 10 miles from the beach so when I get bored with daily routines ( which isn’t very often) I head for the beach. I find so many things to do to keep busy I rarely get bored.

  14. Joye says:

I usually don’t get bored since I seem to always be busy. However, for down time I like to do watercolor painting, baking desserts and some embroidery projects. I also work in my garden

  15. Cindy Hamilton says:

Reading is what I do when I am bored. I do like trying new recipes also!!

  16. Eileen says:

Guess I am too late for the contest, but we love to go to the beach. Of course, we live in VA Beach, and only about 2 miles from oceanfront. When the kids were young (33 and 32 now) I always signed them up for swim team – at least an hour most weekday mornings and then every Saturday during swim season. Got them up and exercising! Just had to hope they didn’t drown each other, but it did teach them how to swim! Both ended up being lifeguards later in life and the 33 year old still swims!
