New Year! New Cowboys! Rhonda Lee Carver

Happy 2016!

I’ve decided not to make any resolutions this year. I’ve made plenty in the past with every intention of following through, but by February 1st I’m like…”Now what was my goal…er…?”

One year I made healthy eating a goal. A few days later as I sat with a bag of chocolate…”Scratch that.” Another year I promised myself I’d work out every day. Bwahahaha. I bet you can guess the outcome. I even once believed I’d knock out twelve books in twelve months. Then I failed, ate another bag of chocolate and was too bloated to work out.

Let’s all do something together. Let’s promise to be happy. To be more giving, to step out of the bubble and take a leap, watch the sunset and the sunrise. Read often. Love often. Give thanks. Forgive and forget. Volunteer and self-sacrifice. Call instead of text…at least once.  Wear sexy lingerie, just for yourself. Review every book you read (yes, I had to sneak that one in). Eat what you love. Be who you are!

I want to thank all of my readers, fans, friends and loved ones for making 2015 a memorable year. My wish is for 2016 to be the best yet! I’ll write, you read and we’ll make a great team.

Here is a glimpse into the next few months.

As y’all must know, I am in a boxed set with a great group of western authors, Ring In A Cowboy. My contribution is A New Year’s Cowboy.  I hope you’ll grab this boxed set. It’s ONLY 99 cents, for now!

“What are you feeling, baby?”

“My heart. It’s beating so fast, so hard.” Her eyes were on his face. He’d never met a woman quite like her, she carried herself gracefully, with confidence, but she now trembled beneath his hands. He knew what she needed and he wanted to give her every ounce she warranted.

“I haven’t met another woman like you. You’re amazing.”

He sealed his lips with hers. A jolt of electricity sizzled and scorched through them. He cupped her nape, holding her in a way that allowed better access to her mouth as he tangled his fingers into her hair. He loved the silky smoothness. Sensually, their mouths moved together—against each other. He claimed her. He wasn’t sure he’d ever get enough, but tonight was all they had.

He drew back, his breaths rampant and strong, blowing through her hair. He tightened his hold on her and leaned back onto the bed. Together, they moved up the soft quilt until they were at the pillows. Their bodies were stretched out, her thigh over his zipper and his erection grew to gargantuan size. He thought he’d bust a seam.

He kissed the side of her face, her neck, moving his hands over her flat stomach and to her pale mounds. She arched and he teased her nipples, lowering his mouth to one hard nub and licking.

“I’m tingling from root to tip,” she said in a breathless tone.

“This is only the beginning,” he promised.

“I’m going to melt like a snowman.” She chuckled.

His heart did a one-eighty. She was heaven at his fingertips. He continued to suckle her breasts until she trembled under him. Her hand smoothed down his chest close to the waist of his jeans and his cock ached for her touch. She made a small noise and he growled.

This was going to be the best thing he’d ever experienced. He knew it.

About rhondaleecarver

At an early age, Rhonda fell in love with romance novels, knowing one day she’d write her own love story. Life took a short detour, but when the story ideas would no longer be contained, she decided to dive in and write. Her first rough draft was on a dirty napkin she found buried in her car. Eventually, she ran out of napkins. With baby on one hip and laptop on the other, she made a dream into reality—one word at a time. Her specialty is men who love to get their hands dirty and women who are smart, strong and flawed. She loves writing about the everyday hero. When Rhonda isn't crafting sizzling manuscripts, you will find her busy editing novels, blogging, juggling kids and animals (too many to name), dreaming of a beach house and keeping romance alive. Oh, and drinking lots of coffee.

Yeah, I want to lose weight but I agree with you, those resolutions are hard to keep. I bought Ring In A Cowboy and read your story first. It was great, really loved it. Can’t wait to read the 2 new Nirvana books. Happy New Year!!😊
