Leah Braemel on Love Under Construction

Sorry, I’m not going to be talking cowboys today. Instead I’m going to be talking about a couple of blue collar workers, Max and Noah. They remind me a lot of cowboys, with their calluses and muscles, and most of them wear blue jeans, though they aren’t in Texas so they forego the cowboy boots for workboots and trade in Stetsons for hard hats.

In my newest story, UNASHAMED, Max and Noah are two contractors who want to work on Hayley O’Connell, not just the house she’s flipping. Oh, and one or both of them might want to work on each other too. 😉 That’s right, UNASHAMED is a m/m/f menage.

Oh and I should also mention that Unashamed is just one of seven stories in the Hunks, Hammers and Happily Ever Afters bundle which features blue-collar workers and the women who tame them with stories from USA TODAY Bestselling authors Cari Quinn, Cathy Clamp, Anna J. Stewart, and featuring authors Jodi Redford, Amie Stuart, Chudney Thomas and me!

You can pre-order UNASHAMED as part of the Hunks, Hammers and Happily Ever Afters bundle for just 99 cents. You won’t have to wait long to read it either since it releases on Tuesday, November 3rd. But that 99 cent price? It won’t last long.

Anyway, now that’s out of the way, here a sneak peek of Unashamed…

Contractor Max Moretti knows that once he turns over the keys on his latest project, he and his business partner Noah McNaughton will have to say goodbye to shy but sexy house flipper, Hayley O’Connell. Something neither he nor Noah are ready for.  When Max overhears Hayley discussing a ménage fantasy, Max wonders if she’s the woman they’ve always wanted. With Noah’s help, Max constructs a plan to find out if Hayley is their Miss Right or just Miss Right Now…

Being sandwiched between the two sexy construction workers introduces Hayley to pleasure she’d never known before, but watching the two men care for each other quickly becomes an addiction. An addiction that both intrigues and overwhelms her.

One passion-filled night turns into two, and Max and Noah find themselves faced with a bigger challenge than revealing their sexy secrets to Hayley—convincing her that forever is better with three.

Max’s view of Hayley was blocked by his roommate, but the moment Noah stepped to the side, Max whistled.

Her dress shimmered with each step she took, so did the earrings that dangled from her ears. Even her hair sparkled—they’d probably put some pins in it or something. When they reached the porch, the door didn’t immediately open.

Max peered through the peephole. Noah had stopped and was kissing her. Holy crap, it was sexy. It had nothing to do with how they were both blonde or how they both looked like they’d stepped right out of a fashion magazine. It was the expressions on both of their faces and the way Hayley buried her fingers in Noah’s hair. They were lost in each other.

Maybe Hayley had changed her mind. Or maybe Noah had.

Just when the doubt weasels had convinced him Noah’s text was a mistake, Noah pulled away and cupped Hayley’s face. His voice was muffled, but clear enough for Max to hear him ask Hayley if she still wanted this. That there was no pressure, he could just tell Max it was off.

Hayley’s nod, and her verbal reassurance she was sure, had him returning to the living room. Noah would never let him forget it if they found him waiting by the door like an over-anxious schoolboy.

Five minutes passed before the door finally opened and then there she was, standing in his front hall. The beads on her blue dress sparkled, creating an angelic halo. The dark fabric accentuated the creaminess of her skin. And her eyes – he could lose himself in their warmth, just settle right in and bask like his mother’s cat in a patch of sunlight. Her lipstick was smudged—and there were traces on Noah’s lips. She’d still leave traces of crimson on his dick—and Noah’s—by night’s end.

Her eyelids lifted to meet his gaze, the long lashes sweeping up to reveal those expressive dark eyes. No hint of fear filled them—lust, yes. Anticipation. Yup, that was there too. She was completely unashamed of what they were about to do.

Sounds like fun, and we all need workers! Just don’t forget that women can do these jobs too.

No worries, I haven’t forgotten that women can do those jobs too. In fact I mentioned it in my story 😀 “Three years ago she’d ditched her high heels and pencil skirts for steel toed boots and a tool belt. Okay, so she didn’t really wear a tool belt—that was entirely Max’s fantasy—but for all the jobs he’d worked on with her over the past two years, she’d been on-site and totally hands-on for all the renovations, not afraid to pick up a hammer along with the rest of the crew.” And Amie Stuart’s heroine is the blue collar worker heroine in her story. We gotcha covered!
