Want to help me find a title? (Contest)

UPDATE: The winner of one of the prequel books to KNIGHT EDITION
is…Michelle Levan!

*~*~*~*

I’m up to my ears in work right now, but I need to spare a little time to brainstorm a title for a novella that’s going into the next “12-pack” cowboy box set. Our theme is cowboy-lawmen. Our last box set’s theme was cowboy-firefighters and I used a firefighting term for the title, “Controlled Burn.” I thought it might be fun to come up with a law enforcement term/police slang phrase for the title for the new novella.

My first choice was “Running Hot” —but wouldn’t you know there are a gazillion romance books with that title. So, would you like to have some fun today? Find me a police term, and tell me its meaning, or have some fun and make one up, doesn’t matter, your comment will serve as your contest entry! Go forth and find me a title!

Comment for a chance to win one of the prequel books to my latest release, Knight Edition!

“…an action packed, fast paced, scorching, erotic thriller. With delicious love scenes, wry humor and non-stop thrills, [Knight Edition] is a guaranteed page turner that’ll delight the reader.” ~ 5 Drops of Blood, Vampire-Erotica.net

“…an extraordinary read by an extraordinary author.” ~ 5 Cups, Coffee Time Romance

Sidney Coffey, Seattle’s “News at Nine” girl, uncovers the scoop of a lifetime and her ticket into serious journalism. The only problem is–without proof–no one’s going to believe the victims of recent gang killings are in fact “undead” and vampires!

With her gut telling her there’s an even bigger story lurking beneath the surface, she decides to beard a reclusive vampire master in his den for an interview. But meeting the master only complicates things. For a woman with a voracious sexual appetite, the tall, dark and gloomy vamp proves an irresistible challenge.

When a reporter trespasses on his estate, Navarro is at first amused then annoyed that the little baggage is close to putting together the pieces of a dangerous plot involving an old enemy and a group of murdered geneticists. To keep her safe, Navarro issues an invitation he won’t let her refuse.
