Favorite Christmas Reads ?

???????????????????????????????????????Tis the season for hot cocoa, a roaring fire, a snuggly blanket…and a great holiday read! 🙂 So I thought I’d mention just a few of my favorites. I hope you’ll share yours too.

One favorite that I loved and have shared with my daughters is the Laura Ingalls Wilder
books when she talks about their Christmases. Maybe it’s my love of Historical Western and Pioneer stories, but these always made me happy. Now there’s a collection of just the
Little House Christmas stories http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/christmas-stories-laura-ingalls-wilder/1100095452?ean=9780064420815

But as all little girls grow up, some of my “now” favorites include Lori Foster’s Holiday Themed Books.  She just has a way of writing sweet, sexy, feel good (pun intended) stories
that make me smile. And when I bought some of hers that were included in an Anthology,
I gained new favorites!  Check out the titles below. I think you’ll find something you like 🙂

And tell me some of your favorite holiday reads!

Also, I have a link to a Free Holiday Read, SHOTGUN SANTA, on my website. http://www.jenniferjakes.com

Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

    Love the Christmas tree!
Maybe you have read Wittig Albert’s new book about how the Little House books came to be written as Rose Wilder had Laura tell her the stories and ghostwrote them.

I read a Christmas story last year called Christmas on Mimosa Lane by Anna Destefano which was absolutely sad and beautiful that has stayed with me for over a year now. Definitely makes you think about family and the season.
    Merry Christmas!

      Hi Eileen –
Oh, that one sounds good. Touching, good. I like to be reminded of everything we’re blessed with! Thanks-
