Out with Old In With the New

Oct2010FlowersSpringtime is a great time for opening the windows and letting the old, stale, winter air out of your house and letting the fresh clean air in (except for those plagued by allergies). As the ground wakes up to the warmth and sunshine I watch as day-by-day the green grass pushes up between the dried, dead blades. Trees are budding, my tulips will bloom soon. Yesterday I planted azalea bushes and it rained last night to nourish them.

2012-03-28 13.51.41It all fits. I just finished an installment of the Ugly Stick Saloon (Boots and Buckles) that I hope will come out in the  winter, and I’m starting a fresh new project today. I don’t know about you, but springtime is full of hope and promise. Soon I’ll plant my summer flowers and watch them as the grow and bloom.

Can’t wait to get out on the lake in the summer, but for now, I’m enjoying the beauty and freshness of spring! I’ll leave you with a couple pictures of blooms from past years’ bounty. It’s coming soon again.

Have a happy day!

Welcome back to the Ugly Stick Saloon!

She wants no strings…but he wants it all.

After her philandering husband left her, Lacey Lambert found sanctuary, and a better class of friends, at the Ugly Stick Saloon. Where she learned that the best revenge—against her ex, and the “friends” who kicked her out of the Temptation Garden Club—is to live life to the fullest.

Now that her best friend is moving out of her apartment building, she’s feeling a little lonely. And more than ready for a little commitment-free sex with the hot new downstairs tenant.

Freshly divorced, Nick McBride isn’t looking for another failed relationship. But when the luscious brunette offers no-strings sex—with him and his brother—he can’t come up with a good reason to refuse.

After he gets over the shock that she likes it loud, long, and in front of an open window, he finds himself wanting more time with her. Maybe even on a permanent basis. But it’ll take every ounce of his cowboy charms to convince her to let him sweep her off her feet.

  1. Your spring is a lot prettier than mine right now. Mine is gray and rainy. 🙂 BOOTS AND LACE sounds awesome! I can’t wait to read!

  3. Mary Preston says:

It doesn’t snow here, so unless we get the nasty Winter winds, I have the house open all year.

“..and his brother” – well, well.

  4. Clare O'Beara says:

Enjoy your garden! Nice time of year.
I thought Boots and Lace was a great read.
