Riding into the Sunset by C.H. Admirand

Cowboy_Sunset_Wallpaper__yvt2This will be my last blog for the Wild and Wicked Cowboy Blog. What a wonderful group of authors and followers! I have loved every minute spent blogging and chatting with everyone, but  my schedule has absolutely no wiggle-room left in it. With back-to-back deadlines, babysitting our grandson, and upcoming Reader Events, Conventions, and Conferences, something has to give.

I hope you’ll come and visit me on my facebook page: www.facebook.com/CHAdmirand, or follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/CHAdmirand because I have some exciting projects lined up this year.

Book 2 in my Small Town USA series, ONE DAY IN APPLE GROVE, will release June 1st.  Book 3, WELCOME BACK TO APPLE GROVE, will release in December. Fingers crossed my digital Historical Western Romance comic,  BRING ‘EM BACK ALIVE, will release mid-April. I finally got the rights back to my first book—and the first in my Irish Western Series, THE MARSHAL’S DETINY, I will have that available at RT, so be sure to stop by during the Graphic & EBk Expo,  and I am writing a Frontier Romance that I hope to have completed before RT, as well.

YIKES! I only I could clone myself, but with a few minor changes…I’d be younger and more flexible, so I could keep up with our darling grandbaby—he’s fast, and it’s hard to play on the floor for hours at a time when I’m babysitting…I kindof get stuck if I sit Indian-Style. LOL!

If you’re planning to go to Barbara Vey’s Reader Appreciation Luncheon on April 27th, I’d love to see you. I’m one of the authors hosting a table, so if you’re planning to attend, please look for me. I’m planning on having fun decorations with a cool giveaway at the table—possibly books—and I’ll be signing my latest at the book fair that follows the luncheon. 🙂

From there, my hubby and I will be driving down to Kansas City, MO for RT. I’ll be part of the rowdy group of authors at the Cowboy Corral on Wednesday; on the panel of authors for Creating Graphic Novels on Thursday, and at the Afternoon Delight Bookseller & Librarian Event on Friday. I received my mega order of books already, so be sure to stop by one of the events before they’re all gone. 🙂

In June I’ll be signing at BEA at the Jacob Javitts Center, in NYC.

In July I’ll be attending RWA in Atlanta, Georgia – driving by myself this time. I’m thinking of agent-hunting aside from networking with other authors and industry professionals.

In August, I’ll be attending AAD – my first one—in Savannah, Georgia. Yep driving alone again and have some great promo, goodies, and books for this Reader Event, too. I’m one of the authors hosting the Elemental Masque so look for goodies there as well as books 🙂

In September, I’ll be attending Lora Leigh’s RAW in Hagerstown, MD and can’t wait—it’s my third one and I love the smaller setting where readers and authors can have a chance to breathe and chat about what they love most—Romance Books!

In October, I’ll be attending the NJRW Conference, and as their PAN Liaison, I’ll be running the PAN Retreat and helping to run the Bookseller Luncheon on Sunday following the Conference.

I may be able to squeeze in a trip to NYC to the Javitts center again for the NY ComicCon—hopefully to meet and greet new fans of my Historical Western Romance Comic 🙂

Good heavens—is that it? Lord I hope so, because I am exhausted just thinking about all of the above. For dates and times, visit my website www.chadmirand.com .

Soooo please do keep in touch!

Happy Reading!

Maybe you could guest log again in the future – when a window opens up in that busy diary! Good luck!

  2. Eileen says:

So sorry you are leaving. I agree with Clare with guest blogging. Good luck and see ya at RAW.

  3. Randi Alexander says:

Holy cow, your schedule is packed. I’m looking forward to meeting you at RT! We’ll miss you, C.H.! And you’re welcome back any time for a guest blog!

    • chadmirand says:

Hi Randi – thanks 🙂 I’ll miss everyone here. I can’t wait for RT — for a rest from back-to-back deadlines and edits…my brain is fading fast! Thanks for the invite to guest blog 🙂 W&WCB ROCKS!

I enjoyed reading all of your posts and you will certainly be missed. Thank you for sharing with us and I will be watching for you. You are inspirational.

  5. C.H., it’s been an honor being on this blog with you. And more important, I am the excited winner of a signed copy of A WEDDING IN APPLE GROVE, which sits on my display shelf for signed books. What a wonderful story and well-written. If you want to feel good, read this book, and the others yet to come. I will miss you but I will definitely be following you.

    • chadmirand says:

Thanks, Desiree…we won’t say how long it took for the book to make it to your neck of the wood right? LOL. I’m delighted that you enjoyed reading it. I’ll be following you, too 🙂 Thanks for everything!!!

  6. Gem says:

Hi C.H. I’m sorry to see you ride off in the sunset but figure the sunrises every day and we’re bound to meet again. Until then, adios and take care. 🙂

    • chadmirand says:

Hey Gem – thanks…I always knew watching those old silverscreen classics that the cowboy may ride off into the sunset, but that maybe he’d wind his way back again. Adios amiga:)

  7. Michelle says:

Keep on writing, even if u r not blogging 😉

    • chadmirand says:

I will Michelle. Thanks 🙂 I am almost finished with the edits due on Monday–then it’s onto the edits for my first book. After reading it again, I can’t believe anyone would publish it–but the good news is that I’ve really improved over the last 13 years. LOL!

  8. Mary Preston says:

    Just remember to breathe!!!

    Busy times indeed.

  9. Tiss says:

Sorry to see you go, but will try to keep up with you elsewhere. Guest blogging sounds good! Good Luck with your busy schedule, but don’t burn out, we want more books to read!

    • chadmirand says:

Thanks, Tiss 🙂 I’m on the verge of burning out big time, which is why I had to make the tough decision to leave…you ladies are the best. Thanks! 🙂
