Wondering What’s Going On With Wild and Wicked?

You’ve probably noticed a few of our authors have chosen to leave the blog. We’re sad to see them go. There were a variety of reasons, from ‘just too busy to post’ to ‘I’m not writing cowboys any longer.’ We’ll miss them, but Wild and Wicked Cowboys Blog is still going strong.

You may have also noticed a lack of pictures on blog posts lately. There’s been a rising awareness recently about copyrighted photos. The pictures we used to grab from random sites have often turned out to be copyrighted, which means we’ve used these without proper permission. These have all been removed from our old posts.

Our new rule on Wild and Wicked – which is also the new rule on many blog sites – is that we’ll only post photos we own, or which are from a certified copyright-free site.

We also have some great new changes coming soon!

First, we’ve hired a professional to create a new header image for us. Watch for this in the next week. It’ll be beautiful!

Second, we have a few author spots to fill, and will be asking some of our favorites if they’d like to join us. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment. We want your input in the decision making process.

Third, we’re going to be sharing with the community. Our fabulous friend Helen at Cute and Cuddly Quilts (http://cuteandcuddlyquilts.com/) will be creating messenger bags with our logo on it. We’ll be selling these through the blog with all Wild and Wicked’s proceeds going to charities. Tough Enough to Wear Pink (http://www.toughenoughtowearpink.com/index.php/tetwp/about/) and Rider Relief Fund (http://www.riderrelief.com/) We can’t wait to show you the gorgeous bags!

Thank you all for your support as we revamp the blog and come back wilder and more wicked than ever!

Umm you suggested that we suggest authors to you. Well I’m sure you guys have already though of 2 of my faves, but I’ll list them anyway. Lorelei James and Cat Johnson. I know Cat does others besides just cowboys, however she does alot of writing about them too. If I have any other ideas I will give a shout!!! Looking forward to the new

How exciting for your blog and its new beginning. My suggestions would be Vicki Lewis Thompson.

Top marks for taking care of all the copyright issues. As well as helping the photo takers, it will make all of us go out and take some great shots instead of being lazy and grabbing ones off the net! I am sure the page will look brilliant.

It’s definitely an issue authors can relate to. Our books are pirated, so we don’t want to do the same thing to any photographers. Arrrr! We’ve received the draft of the header photo and OH MY GOSH it’s gorgeous!

I already gave my suggestions to Randi. Looking forward to the new beginnings for Wild and Wicked. And, Randi, if you want to use any of my pics, just ask. LOL. Oh, I think I found a calf with your name on it…..LOL.

    • Randi Alexander says:

Yeay, thanks, Tiss, I would love to use some of your pictures. They’re always so beautiful. You have a very artistic eye. And you found a little Randi? Send pictures, please!

Can’t wait to see the bags

I spoke to Helen yesterday – she’s gotten the logo converted to work on her embroiderer (is that a word?) and she’s finding some lovely material that’ll work well for the bags. I can’t wait, either!

  6. Lorelei James & Linda lea miller! Also there’s a gal that just released a Texas two step serious, but I can’t remember her name. If I remember it I’ll give you a shout! Thanks 😉

  7. Alisa Valdes she just released her first rodeo cowboy book in her monthly series about western romance.

  8. I would suggest Sable Hunter and Vicki Lewis Thompson! Can’t wait to see the new look and bags.

I just found your site today and I am looking forward to visiting it very often! I dearly LOVE Vicki Lewis Thompson…her Nerd series nearly caused my kids to think i needed to go to the er for laughing so hard….I love all of her books. Sable Hunter is a good choice for hot sex but she kinda makes her leading ladies virgin wimps (except the ones that have been raped) that only live to please their men…the men are super alpha male jerks that show their sensitive side by using kissy face baby talk to their women…..but if you want a story with hot sex then try Ms. Hunter out….just watch for editing and copy/pasteing whole chapters of other books in her Hell Yeah series…..if you can get past some of this they do have unusal story lines.

I also dearly LOVE Linda Lael Miller her cowboys are realllllly the full package of what modern men should be and her leading ladies you can relate to or even be!

    • Randi Alexander says:

I’m a huge Linda Lael Miller fan, too. It would be such an honor to have her – or Vicki Lewis Thompson and Sable Hunter – on our blog. Thanks for the comment and we’re glad you found us here at Wild and Wicked!
