I missed my last scheduled day to post because apparently I’m not smart enough to figure out how to blog from my iPad when I am out of town. LOL Seriously it was the weirdest thing. Imagine trying to type a blog blind. Everything I typed showed up as white text against a white background so it looked like a blank page. And I could not for the life of me figure out how to change the type color. Things are weird on the iPad sometimes. Trust me.
Anyways. Since I already had the post half written I didn’t want it to go to waste. i.e. I have no new ideas for blog posts today. 🙂 I’m going through a tiny bout of writers block at the moment that is likely brought on by just too much stress. So my poor cowboys have been languishing three quarters of the way through their story for weeks now. It’s so sad. I’m trying though. I’m going to the local rodeo, watching every bit of cowboy inspired television I can find and re reading my story so far in the hopes that I can tickle the muse once again.
So back to my headline:
Cowboys Are Hotter Than Ever
And it just so happens that I’ve just finished reading an article in RT Book Reviews magazine that says cowboys are hotter than ever in romance. Of course I think we here at the blog already knew this. I know I can’t get enough of them.
Here’s what they had to say:
Cowboys are rugged, but right. They live by a code and will stand by their women (or men if you read my m/m cowboys. *g*
They typically have hot bodies from working the land and they look damn good in a pair of jeans.
A good cowboy hero has a soft heart no matter how alpha he is.
One thing’s for sure. The outlook for those of us who write and read cowboy romance is quite rosy. There seems to be no slowing of interest on readers who want more and writers who are dying to write them. I whole heartedly agree.
OH! And if you’ve followed my other posts you’ll be interested to know there was mention of cowboy vampires in said article. Yippee!
