Gem Sivad

Hi! I’m Gem Sivad. Nice to meet you. If you’ve seen me on twitter, Face Book or a romance loop, it was probably only a quick glimpse. I’m a hermit by inclination and live in a country setting near a small unincorporated town with a population of about 500 (give or take a wild turkey or 2).

My Motto: When everyone else goes right, run like hell to the left!

I’m a compulsive writer, usually juggling more than one wip at a time. I belong to the following professional author organizations: RWA, Passionate Ink and I serve as secretary for ESPAN (Electronic and Small Author Network), so I can keep up with changes in the publishing industry.

Dreamcatcher Ezine, my monthly newsletter, is available by subscription (yes, so I can get your email addy and keep in touch.) But, it’s worth the once a month curse (I’m talking newsletter here) because it always features talented authors, book release info, contests and free reads. Oh, yeah, and it’s also where I get to share my goofy collection of trivia in the Whimsy section.

Blurb:

Eleanor Lacey’s husband is as dead as their sexless marriage. While she waits for the law to decide if she’s widowed or divorced, she leaves scandal in Connecticut behind and flees to Texas to begin anew. But she needs money—fast. What better way to earn her grubstake, than by cooking meals for the richest rancher in the state?

Cyrus Burke works hard for every penny he makes and prides himself on knowing where to cut costs. He doesn’t want a wife cluttering up his life. His housekeepers are good enough—round the clock employees tending his sexual appetite, too. Mrs. Lacey applies for the position and looks like a promising candidate. Delicious in fact, as smooth and creamy as a tasty tart.

When Eleanor and Cyrus come together, it’s a recipe for hot love—take one wickedly willful widow and one arrogantly masterful man, add a dash of decadent desire, a pinch of sizzling naughty, and turn up the fire.

“…This is the kind of book which you start and you can’t stop reading until you’re done with it and then you want to read it all over again – it’s that good.  Actually I have to admit I read it again during the writing of this review…” Review Site:Two Lips Reviews; Reviewer: Laura; Rating: 5 Stars and a Recommended Read.

“Gem Sivad is one of the queens of “naughty” historicals. The banter between Cyrus and Eleanor in this book is so much fun, and the heat they produce is scorching…I hope that Eleanor’s sisters get their own books as they move to Texas to open up her tea shop.”  Review Site: Melissa’s Mochas, Mysteries and More; Reviewer: Melissa; Rating: 4 Stars.
