You may remember the Cowboy Lust anthology that came out last year. Our own Delilah Devlin is the editor, and it’s been selling very well in both digital and paperback books. My short story in the anthology, Banging the Cowboy has received some lovely reviews, too.
The book has been so popular, that it is soon to be released in Germany. Translated into German. Isn’t that fascinating? I’m definitely going to buy a copy just to have on my bookshelf.
This year, Delilah’s looking for more short stories for another anthology, a sequel tentatively titled Cowboy Heat so if you’ve ever wanted to write a 1,500 to 4,500 word sexy story about a cowboy and his woman, here’s your chance.
I just finished my story this weekend, and I’m going to give it one more read through before I attach all kinds of cowgirl karma and lady luck to it and send it to Delilah.

As a taste of what Cowboy Lust is all about, here’s a little excerpt from Banging the Cowboy: Annie fumbled the door keys, then got the damn thing open, and he slammed it shut behind them. The space was small, just a landing with steps that lead up to her apartment.
He pulled her into his arms and his kiss devastated her. Overwhelming. She had to remember to breathe as he explored her mouth, touching, tasting everywhere. Biting her lips gently, then she bit him not as sweetly.

Plotline off top of head: girl is fed up working in a store selling dudes cowboy clothing when they’ve never ridden before. Gentleman comes in and offers to act as model if he can buy her dinner. He’s a real cowboy and he’s been watching her every time he comes in to town. Seems like this is the only way he can grab her attention… his shirt comes off and she’s all for it!
