What’s in the name? When I think of a bar, I think of city lights, dark streets, men and women dressed in business clothes or slinky dresses. The women would be drinking wine or fruity cocktails. The men would have bourbon and water or maybe a beer . When I think of saloons, I’m picturing cowboys in jeans, cowboy boots and hats. Big belt buckles that need some belly-rubbin’ to get them to shine! Add in the cowgirls
in the tight jeans or jean skirts or the flouncy mix of jean and bandana fabric with midriffs showing. It would be a mix of in-your face sexy and long, tall drinks of water. Men would be drinkin’ long neck beer or mugs filled fresh from the tap and sometimes sloshin’ over. Women would be drinkin’ the same, by damn! In a saloon, the men are tough and the women would be soft and sexy but just as tough and determined. And in a saloon, the men would be WILLING to dance. That’s right, DANCE! Boot-scootin’, twirlin’ and huggin’ on the ladies.
So what’s it for you? Saloon or Bar?

She gave up stripping to go legit…until three Kiowa cowboys bring on the down-and-dirty.
Blurb:
Jackson Gray Wolf is turning thirty, and what does he have to show for it? A ranch. No wife, no kids, no dates. He’s had his eye on the pretty owner of the Ugly Stick Saloon, but their one accidental encounter was interrupted before he could get her out of her take-me-now red cowboy boots.
Audrey Anderson isn’t in the market for a man. Been there, done that, has the scars to prove it. She retired her pole-dancing boots after purchasing the Ugly Stick Saloon, and now manages a stable of strippers. When she winds up one stripper short for a private party, she’s forced to slip on a mask and into the role of the mysterious Kiki.
Jackson didn’t want the birthday bash his twin brothers are throwing him, but his vow to ignore the rented stripper goes awry when she shows him exactly how far she’s willing to go—for all three of them.
Audrey can’t forget the sizzling heat between her and one sexy Kiowa in particular. Jackson. Trouble is, she’s not sure if he wants the bold, brassy Kiki, or if he’s ready for the wounded woman underneath.

Two quite different books! I’ve downloaded the Ugly Stick one already. Thanks so much and I hope it goes right to the top of the charts.
I think the line-dancing image above looks great fun so I want to go to that hostelry, whatever you call it!
My mind goes in two different directions between saloons & bars. Saloon is definitely Western & bar – yes I like the night life.
wow love the freebies! Thanks!
I think there is a difference in a bar and a saloon, if you ask me a saloon has more character.

To me saloons are: late 1800′s, wiskey, gambling, saloon girls with the frilly dresses, swinging doors. A bar is a shack in a small town with one pool table and a jutebox with nothing but country and everybody has on jeans and boots that still has manure on them (thats what I have lol). A club is the big city, with the dancing and women in slinky dresses and fruity drinks.
