Thought that might get your attention. The problem is I have more than cowboys on my mind.
As a writer, I don’t mind when ideas come flying at me from all directions, but in this last week, they’ve been relentless. And not all my hero’s are cowboys. My current work in progress, I have a sheriff and a horseman (at the moment he’s leaning toward cowboy), my next story I have a billionaire, then the ideas that started flowing at me have a movie director, a playboy prince, another billionaire, a couple of doctor’s and then there’s my cowboy brothers.
There aren’t enough hours in the day for me to write all these stories. I’m going to have a busy year but I’m hoping to have more cowboy stories for everyone who loves them. In the mean time I have to deal with all these other men
So tell me, besides cowboys, what other types of hero’s do you like?
Maire

Hi,
Well, I don’t much like billionaires as heroes. They are too easy. You just say, oh he’s a billionaire, so that covers any query the readers have. Like, how does he get a car that starts every time, where does he buy clothes from, how can he afford jewellery and dinners and travel for the girl he dates, what does he do for a living (frowns, watches money movements and gives orders) and does he ever get his hands dirty? Sounds like one boring guy. A cowboy is much more interesting because he wrestles with actual challenges, faces up to weather and the environment, keeps track of real live animals as well as sale prices and looks after his caring family.
By the way you use apostrophes where they are not needed, in plurals – doctors and heroes are not possessive nor contractions. Your editor will thank you for sorting it out before submission!
Hi Clare, good insights. And thanks for the apostrophe advice. I’m always looking to improve.
definitely love the reformed rake. the highlander righting the wrong. the reluctant friend to lovers guy. I like all kinds of heroes.
Hi Eileen, ah the reformed rake, or the highlander a couple of my favorites.
I’m on a cowboy kick. I can’t see to get enough of them.
Hi Susan, that’s okay. Cowboys are always fun to have around.
Other than cowboys…..I would have to go for the military man!
Hi Kerry, military men are fun too.
Hi Marie,
Ain’t the the truth? And isn’t it interesting… I’m writing about a billionaire (or at least very rich) hero in my WIP but now I have a cowboy romance wanting my attention. Just have to write faster, I guess.
Smiles,
Nia
Hi Nia, glad to see there are others out there doing billionaires or shall we say very rich hero’s.
would love to see some stories with military men from all branches. Also, firefighters are great, too!
Hi Nancy, I like reading about military men. Firefighters…hadn’t thought about that.
Firefighters and Cops!
Hi Jackie, love those law enforcement types.
Cowboys, Athletes, Military, Firemen, Cops.
Hi Lori, theme here, men in uniform
Even athletes and cowboys have their dress codes or shall I say undressed codes.
Cowboy’s my first love, Firefighters, Prince, Military, and Arhletes.
That should have said Athletes.
Hi Mona, a prince, now there’s one I haven’t written in a while.
