New Here… Please Be Gentle…

LissaLogoYellow_reasonably_smallOr don’t. I can take a good solid flogging. ;-)

I am happy to be part of the Wild and Wicked Cowboys blog. These are incredible writers to be among and, well, to quite honest with you, it’s a lot intimidating. I mean, look at the line up of authors on this blog. And then, well, look at me… See?

For those who don’t know me, my name is Lissa Matthews. I write erotic romance, both M/F and M/M. My first book was published in 2008 and I am an author with Ellora’s Cave, Samhain Publishing, and Loose Id.

Cowboy LustwebI am new to writing cowboys, but I’m not new to the erotic and timeless fascination with them. I love reading Cowboys, especially one’s written by Delilah. She’s got just the right amount of dirty and romantic. I cut my teeth on the Cowboys of Linda Lael Miller and Dorothy Garlock. All the historicals, all the pain in the ass men who decided it was their way or the highway… Wait, we still have those. But I fell in love with Cowboys through those books, then I turned to erotic romance and contemporary Cowboys. They are still one of my very favorite genres to read. Not only in M/F, but in M/M as well.

TwistedUp200x300I wrote my first M/F Cowboy for Samhain Publishing, Twisted Up. My second one for Cowboy Lust and Delilah, Small Town Famous. My next one was a M/M, Malachi’s Word and the first in a new series, The Bar Next Door. I have several Cowboy friends whose brains I pick on a near constant basis.

When I read this article with Linda Lael Miller, I knew I wanted to delve more deeply into it.

I am currently writing several new Cowboy titles. For now though, I want to say again, thank you for inviting me and including me in your blog.

MalachisWord72lgI will be filling out my author page here on the blog this week and dive right on in. In the meantime, if you’d like to visit my Website | Facebook | Blog | Twitter, I’d love to see you there…
