The new year is just around the corner and it’s hard for me to believe another year has passed. 2012 was a bit of a roller coaster ride for me with retiring from the day job, closing on a new house in Washington state, packing up a house my mother lived in for almost 60 years, moving, getting settled into the new house, going to the Romance Writers National Conference, then a two week trip to Texas to attend my publishers retreat and to do a bit of R&R, then another conference local to my new home. Then came Thanksgiving and Christmas.
This was the first time in about 20 years that I’ve spent Thanksgiving or Christmas with my sister and her kids and their kids. It was fun, but crazy.
This also was my first snowfall in my new home.
There wasn’t a lot of snow, but for a California city girl, any snow is a sight to be seen.
It was beautiful to see, it all melted by the next day.
So now comes the New Year and I’m gearing up already for it. I just signed two new contracts so two new books will be out sometime next year and I’m sure there will be more.
My new schedule starts with the New Year if not before, because I have lots of things I want to do in the coming year.
I hope everyone had a great 2012 and let’s all have a fantastic 2013.
Marie

Love the snow too.
We don't get enough of it in Chattanooga.

Thanks for the best wishes, Teresa. No, you probably don’t get much snow. I’m told we’re having a light winter.
Love the pic of the new house. Good Luck with new projects in the New Year. Happy New Year.
glad you like the snow. you will probably be seeing more of it. LOL.
Thanks, Tiss. Yes, I’m afraid you’re right, I’ll be seeing more of it. The temps have dropped today and it started raining.
Congrats on the new home, which I love that photo, and the new contracts! May you have the best come your way in the new year!
